One way to start. You describe the job, we start at nine, and by lunchtime it is on a web address with your data in it. You use it before you decide anything else.

What you get

  • A working tool, not a mock-up.
  • Your real data in it, imported from the spreadsheet or whatever you have.
  • A short written note: what we built, what it doesn't do yet, and what finishing it would cost.
  • It runs for a month at no charge. After that, from £39 a month to keep it running, or take the code with you.

What it is not

  • Not a finished product. The first morning is the easy part. The receipt printer, the awkward cases, and training the Saturday staff come after.
  • Not always the right answer. If Xero, Shopify or Square already does what you need, we will tell you on the phone and there is no half day.

Most tools take one to three weeks to finish. A build starts from £2,000, quoted in writing before we begin. Larger systems take longer and we quote those the same way. After that, from £39 a month keeps it running, backed up, patched and supported. Most tools are £95 a month. That is the price of one software subscription, for a program that does exactly your job.

Availability

We do a few of these a month. We talk first, always, so we know the job before the morning starts.

Common questions

What can you build in half a day? One job, done properly. A form that replaces a spreadsheet, a stock count on a phone, a rota staff can see, a report that used to take a morning. Not a whole business system.

What do I need to bring? The spreadsheet, the paper, or the app you use now, and half an hour of your time at the start and the end. We need to see the job as it is.

What if it doesn't work? Then you have paid £300 to find out cheaply, and we will tell you why. If we doubt it on the phone, we will say so and there is no half day.

Do you work outside East Anglia? Yes. The half day can be done remotely. The surgery and most of our clients are local.

Is there VAT on top? No. Cloudship is not VAT registered. The prices on this site are what you pay.
