Cloudship is a software company in Bungay, Suffolk. We build software for businesses: small apps that take one job off someone's week, and large ones a whole company runs on.
We have built for a grain merchant in Aylsham, a greengrocer in Suffolk, a music educator who works across East Anglia, and our own pub in Bungay. The people you talk to at the start are the people who build it and look after it.
From a single form that replaces a spreadsheet to the system a company runs on. Customer portals, internal dashboards, booking systems, stock control.
Online shops, payments, wholesale pricing and stock. Sometimes that means Shopify, set up properly. Sometimes it means building the ordering, wired into the shop's till and stock.
Websites you can update yourself. A starter site is £250. Bigger sites are quoted in writing.
Getting the systems you already pay for to pass data to each other, so nobody retypes an order or copies figures between two screens.
Hosting, backups, monitoring and security updates. Once it is live we keep it running, and you have someone to call.
Reading documents, writing reports, sorting feedback. Used where it saves real hours, and left out where a plain program does the job better.
Cloudship runs the Green Dragon pub in Bungay, on the till and stock system we wrote for it, so we use our own software every day.
Norwich is up the A146 from us. Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are a drive. We are happy to come and see the job where it happens, and most of the work after that can be done from Bungay. Clients further afield work with us over video.
